Moving from Bristol to Bath

Hi all, hoping I could get some advice from helpful folks. I'm currently living in South Bristol, in theory working in central Bristol but looks like when offices re-open we'll be only expected to be going into the office 1 day per week. I have enjoyed living in Bristol but have increasingly fallen in love with Bath over the years, and considering a move now that commuting might just be one day per week.

Looking for advice on areas - in a dream world, looking for a 3 bedroom house with some garden, somewhere good for families (have a 2 year old DC so starting to think seriously about schools). Budget ideally £550k but might be able to stretch a bit more.

I have heard nice things about Larkhall and Camden, and will be off doing some day trips over, but wondering whether our budget sounds realistic, and whether people have advice about that area or other nice areas?

Thanks so much in advance!

@PastaFasool I would really consider Fairfield Park - it borders Larkhall (5-10 min walk into Larkhall village) and is still only a 20 min walk into town. There's more 'affordable' housing here compared with Larkhall where your £550k won't go far (not that it'll go 'far' in Fairfield Park, but it will go further). It has a really nice community feel, and is great for quickly getting out onto the M4 (25 mins with NO traffic to central Bristol - appreciate that's rare). If you would consider moving further out, Bathford and Batheaston could be options. Living on the North or West side will be significantly easier getting into Bristol - travelling from the South side in traffic can be really tricky.
