Hi everyone!
I'm from Newcastle and need to move to the Scottish Borders. I'll be attending a University course at Edinburgh University which requires me to go to Edinburgh for teaching but I'll be attending a placement in the Scottish Borders four days per week. My placement will require me to travel around the Border towns and some of the more rural areas. I need to be based somewhere where I can do this easily but also get to Edinburgh fairly easily (I drive but would prefer to not have to drive into the city centre).
Does anyone have any suggestions on places I could move to?
I'm thinking maybe Galashiels. However, my friends boyfriend is Scottish and told me that a lot of people in Galashiels are anti-English (I have no idea if this is true and I have no intention to offend anyone apologies if I'm wrong!).
