My wife and I like St Albans very much but we're struggling to find an area with the sort of family house we'd like. We just can't justify the amount we'd have to spend to still be a long walk away from the centre and not get much house.
Given this, we thought it might be worth considering being just outside in Chiswell Green where we could get a lot more for our money. Are there any mumsnetters who could tell us what it's like to live there? What's the secondary schooling situation like? We have a 2-year-old son so his potential schooling is very important to us.
Also, do people who live in Chiswell Green often go into St Albans centre by car?
