Hi

We are planning to relocate to Broomhall Gardens Edinburgh. Could someone please advise if this is a safe/good choice. Apologies I don’t have many local friend here.

Thank you

Id say on the plus side, it is very close to Corstorphine which is nice and loads of amenities. If you turn left on to broomhall drive you will be fine! Also the houses I think are all 1950s build semis so you will find they have big rooms and are well built.
Turn on right on broomhall drive and it starts taking you towards some not so nice parts of the city like Forrester and then Broomhouse and sight hill. Even those areas are being regenerated though and Edinburgh is full of nice neighbourhoods right next to not so nice areas.
I’d say it is pretty safe. I’d be relatively comfortable walking there at night.

Hi! South gyle has lots of new build houses and pretty safe...very close to the big shopping mall at the Gyle (I think is due a refurbishment...its a bit old...but nice M&S) it just feels quite industrial and a bit lacking in soul (if that’s important to you!) lots of half empty office blocks nearby. But good for access to tram (so into town v quickly) and good transportation (close to the bypass but not too close) and yes...pretty safe neighbourhood I would say.
