Moving house- nice area??

Hello, was just wondering if anyone knows if ringlestone, Maidstone is a nice area? Have been looking at a house here! Particularly a road called Castle Dean?

My in laws lived here, it’s ok, like a lot of Maidstone it has some mixed housing stock and a mixed demographic. They had no issues with crime etc. Maidstone isn’t a popular choice within this area of Kent (there is quite a lot of snobbery about it) but you’ll get a bigger house for less money than you’ll get elsewhere. In the town centre, there are issues with dealing and homelessness but on the flip side it’s got some really lovely old buildings and quite a bit of history. If you don’t plan to go private, are not religious and your children don’t pass the 11+ then Secondary options aren’t great.

Apologies if you know Maidstone well and I’m telling you stuff you already know! The town isn’t everyone’s cup of tea basically but has definite plus points.

PS, they lived in Ringlestone not the road you mention.
