Another post about moving to Hertfordshire. :) I'd just hugely appreciate some advice.
My family currently live in Essex & we are looking to move to Hertfordshire. I have two young boys (3 & 6) and I just feel the Hertfordshire area will be a nicer place for them to grow up – green space, better secondary schools, lower crime etc.
That said, our budget is small (£550K) and I am aware competition for housing is fierce.
Hitchin is top of my list (mainly for HBS & train links), but my concern is whether I will get my 6–7-year-old into a primary school there & my 3-year-old into nursery and if our budget is a bit too small.
My eldest is in an outstanding primary school at the moment so I'd hate to move him for a better area and end up somewhere worse.
Any thoughts and advice would be hugely appreciated on areas of Hitchin – or even a different area.
