Late primary applications

Hi All,

Needing to make a late primary school application - does anyone know how I can find out what schools have been undersubscribed?

I read an article that said all schools nationally had lower applications this year but unsure how true that is to Richmond.

Looking at Orleans primary and the vineyard.

Would anyone know what the SEN provisions are like in these schools?

Have tried to contact admissions - no joy. Long wait times to get a response from email. Keen to get the application in.

Thanks

Don't wait for a reply from admissions - it could take months - keep telephoning and apply anyway

They haven't published the current years data yet but previous years suggests lots of schools were undersubsribed - they ones that say all prefs met - ie there was no max distance for admission

These are the September 2020 final distances after waiting list movement and all the primaries that say "all preferences met" will have had places available: www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/730334/response/1740203/attach/html/3/FOI%20Response%20AfC%20184%202021%20Sawyer%20Richmond%20Schools.xlsx.html
It doesn't help directly for 2021 but it should give you some idea. All the schools were oversubscribed a few years ago, but there's been a drop in the pre-school population due to Brexit and perhaps due to Covid too if lots of migrant families went back to their home countries.
