Moving Advice (Commutable to Dundee)

Hi everyone, first post on here - hoping you can help Smile

My partner and I have been living in Dundee for about 7 years now and brought our 2 kids up here. To give idea of ages, the youngest starts Primary School after the summer and the oldest starts High School after the summer. We are saving up for a house and having discussions about where to move to once we have all the pennies together - hopefully in next couple years (all going to plan).

We are open to moving out of Dundee, but with both kids bring accepted to Dundee schools would need to be commutable by car - say no more than 30 minutes away by car.

We have enjoyed being in the city, but are quite keen on idea of going more rural. Seen some dream houses in Alyth, but read some pretty bad things online about what it is like there at nights and weekends.

Be great to get some suggestions on these picturesque places if anyone has some pointers or maybe lives there at the moment. Some places we had in mind were Alyth, Newtyle, Broughty Ferry, Invergowrie, Meigle, Birkhill, Liff, Longforgan, Inchture, but I'm sure there's many I have probably missed! I am originally from Edinburgh, so still getting to grips with all the nearby villages Smile

Thanks everyone, look forward to the feedback!!

Liam
