Let me know if you want some details. There are loads of SureStart groups which are free and friendly.

I only found out about them as I introduced myself to another mum in the park! My HV was bloody rubbish at helping me find anything. If it was down to her I'll be stuck at home all week with the baby.....mind you, maybe then she'd be happy as then I would be depressed and she could talk to me about it.

oh, have you done the questionnaire?

I almost threw our HV out of the house when she bullied my DW through that ordeal...

GGGGRRRRRRR (cross now)

Yes The SureStarts are great. We go to the one in Brockwell park all the time!

no..... don't think I did a questionaire. However she did ask "was I coping" and "was I sleeping" and "was it all getting bit much...". Then went on to tell me about a woman who shook her baby to death last year. I was fine but her saying all that made me want to burst into tears.

Yes, dp looked as tho he wanted to lynch her.

Hope things are good in Brockwell Park way

Hi there!
really relieved that you had this exp. with HV as once at the baby clinic I asked if my babies cry was just a whinge or something similar, anyway, they had to drop in my red book to the house the next day and immediately i was told'
The other HV saw you yesterday and I understand you're not coping.. is it all getting a bit much?'

I was livid. haven't gone back since, surely you can ask a question without appearing a potential Louise Woodward.

Anyway, rant done! I live between brixton and Kennington Oval,by Myatts fields- would be thrilled to find out some stuff to go to nearby.i do like the cafe in kjennington park too as i can fit in with my twin buggy.

let me know if you are on for a meet up- i'm around most of the time.

cheers Colleen

sorry - missed your message!

There is a good children's centre just behind kennington park. There is yoga there at 9.30am on Wednesdays (creche available £3) and a song group on Friday mornings.

Also a Busy Babies group on Tuesday am, but it's moving so will get back to as to where it is.

How old are your twins?
