Hi

An elderly woman in mountcastle area is having late night/early morning knocks on her window. 3 distinct knocks. Not and animal nor a tree branch. Been going on for 3 years on and off and recently started up again. Anyone in this area experiencing the same?

Thank you

Not in the area, have they thought about installing a ring door bell?

Since 2012 I have had someone intermittently knocking on my door and making noises outside my house at anti social hours. Because the events are intermittent its not possible for the police or anyone else to keep watch and deal with them. I can go weeks with nothing happening and then have 2 "events" in one week.

Some time ago snow fell late one night and the person came out and knocked on my door at 4am. At 6am I followed the footprints through the virgin snow to the house of a near neighbour. Sadly I did not photograph the trail and the snow melted. So I have only my anecdotal knowledge of my "stalker" because thats what he is.

I have never ever acknowledged the sounds, opened the door or called out. This person has never attempted to break in or harm me physically so I assume it is someone with a mental health issue. If I did identify him what would happen? I have no hard evidence. I just use earplugs and ignore him.

Blimey sneaky what kind of noises do they make?

OP sorry but I think that's pretty serious. Are they looking for signs she is in or awake? What does she do when this happens?

Hi

Thanks for the replies. Are either of you in Edinburgh, Scotland? Trying to find out if this is going on in the local area as mentioned.

The women just stays in bed. It's always been 3 distinct knocks on her bedroom window and has since reduced to 2 knocks.

The woman won't let us install anything. I suggested a camera and a sensor light.
