Hi!

We like to go to York for breaks when we can, and we've stayed a few different hotels etc. But can anyone recommend a good kiddy-friendly hotel that's pretty central? We've a two and a half year old bundle of energy, any suggestions very welcome!

Thanks!

If you want basic then there is a fairly new Travelodge at the end of Piccadilly, right next to the Castle Museum. Would be handy for walks by the river last thing etc.
Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel (south side of river 5 mins or so from central shops etc) has family rooms - don't know anymore about it than that. The York Hilton is also v central - right opposite Cliffords Tower - again looking on the web they obviously do family rooms with the added bonus that your LO could stay and eat in the hotel for free. Hope this is of use

We (Me, Wedgiesmum, plus children 10, 8, 8, and 6) stayed at the York youth hostel last summer, and had a fantastic time. It's about 1mile walk into the centre though - but lovely footpath along by the river. (Well it is in August anyway, probably not such fun when the weather's poor.)

I wouldn't suggest it with a toddler, but it was great for older children.
