Hi,
We’ve been renting in Bristol for a few months and are looking to buy somewhere but don’t really know the area too well. We’ve seen a house in Winterbourne we really like but can’t really get a feel for the local primary schools. In particular St Michael’s and Elm Park. It’s so difficult with lockdown to speak to anyone and obviously we can’t look round. Does anyone know whether these are good choices? Also, how does Winterbourne academy rate? I see it was inadequate on most recent ofsted inspection but has been turned into an academy since so maybe it’s improving? Thanks for reading.

Your best bet is to find the local Facebook group and ask to join. You can get a feel for the area from browsing through recent posts and can ask questions about the schools which will reach people who know far better than on here
