Hi there. We are planning on moving to the north of carlisle from Scotland later this year and our son (who will be 4.5 in September) will be starting reception. Our son is adopted and so will have priority admission. He does have global developmental delay but is doing well and is thriving in a mainstream nursery, although operating at around 6 months behind his peers.

We are looking at schools in the area - the two closest seem to be Stanwix and Kingmoor. I was just wondering if anyone local had experience of either of these schools (or any others nearby) and could tell me the pros and cons. I've looked at the websites, offstead reports etc but it would be great to hear of personal perspectives. Thanks.

Stanwix is smaller and places are more sought after.
