Semi rural near Nottingham

Hi all, looking for some help

I've read the previous thread about relocation and rather than reactivate an old one , I thought I'd start a new one

We are planning to move near Nottingham (jobs planned in Nottingham itself).

We love the village feel of Goverton, Fiskerton etc but these are the wrong side of the city for us because of potential work location.

What areas are similar to the villages listed above in the south side of the city ?

We have circa 800k budget for new house.

Two children, both primary school age. Would like to have good schools nearby (including option if independent school if necessary)

Sorry, Ravenshead that should be!

Keyworth is south, Ravenshead and Papplewick are north (and Ravenshead is a big housing estate).

For independent schools you're mainly looking at the city centre. The above areas have buses to the high schools.
