Has anybody used this company in recent times? They appear to sell loft building services rather than actually building it. They collect money for the materials upfront and sublet the actual building to different tradesmen, with you dealing with each tradesman individually leaving you at the mercy of tradesmen with no control. which always end up with severe delays and things going very wrong.

I was Recommended them by a neighbour who used them a couple of years ago but I was put off by the bad reviews in trustpilot saying the same as you. Did you use them? In my area ( SE London) everyone seems to use South London lofts but they also have a few terrible reviews. Think with these large companies it mostly comes down to the build team you are allocated . After reading loads of reviews I’m thinking of using Simply Lofts and requesting a specific team . If anyone has used Simply I’d love to hear from you!

Unfortunately yes.I am In SE London. Econoloft started work on my loft in Feb 2020 with an estimated 8 week completion and only completed last week making it just over a yr. At a point I was so frustrated that I had to seek the intervention of FMB but this did not make any difference. Even now I discovered a leak in the bathroom radiator and damage to my guttering when the took down the scaffolding. Still waiting for them to rectify this. Pls do not use as their quote is just for the shell of the loft everything else including installation of shower is extra. Their workmanship is shoddy and customer service appalling. Good luck.
