Hi

I am new to this site but was really pleased to find something local to Richmond. I am due in May 2008 with my first baby and would love to get in contact with other mums/ mums to be in the area. Being a first time mum to be is quite daunting and it would great to have some advice and be able to chat through things (even the most silly things!)

Thanks, x

Hi ladies,
Finally we connect, iam due on the 27th feb 08 but as i have a low lying placenta might need to have a c-section i hope not, this is my first baby and i do not have friends with any babies though i used to work with moms and babies looked- after- children i still do not have any experience.
I am having a boy having seen the balls during the scan and the sonographer confirmed it 2 minutes later , as i had bought a pink starter set was not happy spent the next day in pjs watching rubbish t.v but now am over it, and very excited.
Hope you all well.

P.s i also have a friend who is also expecting in march 08 she also lives in chiswick.

Hi Ruva

Great to hear from you. The past few weeks have been quite scary as we have had a few complications along the way(worry about it being ectopic then a threatened miscarriage) but hopefully we're nearing the 12 week mark next week so fingers crossed! I haven't started to show yet but have definitely felt my clothes getting a bit more snug day by day. I'm thinking of getting some maternity jeans sooner rather than later just because they look so comfy!

Like you I don't have any experience with children so it is quite daunting wondering how I'll cope but I'm hoping that it will come naturally!

I've just started acupuncture as a friend told me it was a really good way to help alleviate common pregnancy symptons and I'm going to carry that on until the birth. Apparently you're supposed to go weekly from 36 weeks onwards as it helps you to prepare for the birth. Maybe that's something that would help you? I'm also looking into hypnobirthing although my hubby is a little sceptical about that!

Where are you having the baby? I'm booked in with Queen Charlotte's.

Hi Ezma
I am also booked at queen char, Hope you are doing well, as for the weight gain, have met a few bitchy people who say iam too small, iam eating healthy meals but people will always comment. Are you also doing classes at queen char, i will be doing mine at chiswick health centre and the breast feeding one at queen char, iam trying to get into nct- a bit too late i think. the Hypno birth is the way forward!
I have not read as far as giving birth Its called angst.
