The Mall and Jack & Jill

Hi

Has anyone sent their son to The Mall and daughter to Jack & Jill at the same time? They are brother/sister schools so I’m guessing it’s not unheard off. I’m trying to figure out how difficult my life will be. Not so keen on the co-ed pre-prep and prep schools around so considering this option. Thanks

It’s doable but they aren’t brother and sister schools in anyway as far as I know.
J&J is a feeder for LEH and most will sit for that at 7+ although I know some are now staying on until 11. The mall sends boys all over , but he would have to leave at 11 as they dropped their years 7 and 8, so that’s something to consider.
Have you looked at their drop off and pick up times? Can you get between the 2 in enough time (parking is shocking at both schools)

Thanks. I read on their website that they are brother and sister schools: jackandjillschool.org.uk/jackjill/moving-on-from-the-nursery/
I think J&J and The Mall have co-ordinated their timings but I need to contact J&J to double check I have their timings right.

Without traffic it’s a 4 min drive between J&J nursery/reception/ prep and The Mall but J&J pre prep site is 10 mins away from The Mall so for two years in the middle it would be a slightly longer journey.

The other option is Hampton Pre-Prep which is 10 mins away from the J&J nursery/reception but 5 mins away from the pre prep and prep sites.

I like all three schools and long term I would like them to try for Hampton and LEH so wondering what the best pre 11 options are. Im sure there must be other parents who had to work through this and I would love to know what they went for.

It’s useful to know that the parking is shocking. I thought that might be the case. I may need to seriously consider the minibus option if I do end up sending them.
