Yarm school or Teesside high

I’m hoping for some help. We are looking at sending our children to either Yarm school or Teeside high and wanted people’s opinions of both schools. Thanks!!

Did you go for one of them Newuser82? We are strongly leaning towards one, but would be interested in hearing from anyone with more recent experience

Yes we went with Yarm and couldn't be happier with our choice!

I know this thread is a few months old but just looking for information about Yarm admissions! I know there’s an entrance exam, do you know how how oversubscribed it is and how hard to get a place, and does proximity to the school help? We’re debating whether to move house to be nearer a better state school (our local one is non special measures), or to stay here and try for Yarm (but that feels a bit of a risk!).

Do you mean for the prep school or the senior school? I don't think it's over subscribed in the prep school although I'm not 100% sure. My sons class has just last week had a new addition. I have no idea about the senior school unfortunately as my kids are younger.

With regards to the proximity of where you live I don't think this is taken into question as we live more than half an hour away.
