Reviews on Hampton High School/Teddington school

Hello
I am new to this forum and have been encouraged to join looking at your thoughtful replies to questions.
We have recently moved into St. Margaret's and live right next to Orleans Park school. However today we got to know that Orleans has waitlisted my daughter (Year 9) and we have received a school offer from Hampton High School.
Does anyone have any feedback about this school? Since my daughter is new to the UK we are conscious that she may have some catching up to do.
Also does appealing to the school (Orleans park)based on the proximity criteria work?
Thanks in advance for your responses. I have posted this question on a different thread where I did get helpful views, but was also advised to check on the local Richmond Thread.
Also would it be better to take admission in St. Catherine in year 9 as against the schools offered. Independent schools are not our preferred option, due to the fee structure but at the same time the Ofsted ratings of the schools we have been offered are not encouraging.
Regards

Can anyone also share feedback on Christ School for the senior years (Year 9 to GCSE?)

In your shoes I'd probably choose Christ's. It's a good school and your daughter can easily get a train or bus there from St Margarets. She will meet other children commuting the same route which will help her to make friends. Christ's has a wide geographic catchment because it's a church school and quite a few children commute there by train. You won't find many children traveling from St Margarets to Hampton High. Teddington School catchment stretches to Twickenham so she might find some buddies en route there.

St Catherine's has a reputation for being a nice but not particularly academic private school. Unless money is no object then it's probably not worth it in comparison with a good state school.

Thank you @anglepoyz we did not take into account the fact that commuting on the route will help her make friends. I have read a few official reports that say that St. Catherine's is not particularly academic, so your input confirms what I have read. We are meeting with Christ School shortly and should be able to close out on this. Thank you
