Westerton, Drumchapel, Knightswood question

Hi guys. I'm hunting for a house between West End and Milngavie. Westerton seems nice but does the west side (west of the railway, south of Colquhoun Park) have issues due to being close to Drumchapel and Knightswood? Schools not a concern for me (though will obviously influence the price).

What is your concern with being so close to Drumchapel or Knightswood? Is it the type of housing or the people within them? Having grown up in Westerton and went to school within Knightswood/Jordanhill areas, I don't recall any type of "issues" certainly no more than any area, because let's face it it doesn't matter where you stay there will always been something. my parents now stay in knightswood overlooking the canal towards westerton in a nice house, ex council granted, but ideal for their needs and with bigger outside space than some and with some very lovely neighbours.
Now with regards to the actual houses, your west side westerton doesn't have much of a choice, probably the closer to the train station is a slightly nicer aesthetic. Over the railway you again have a much better choice of detached, more bedrooms, better gardens etc. It really depends what you are ultimately looking for, and how much of a budget you have to spend.

Hi, thanks for the info. I was interested in the crime and antisocial behaviour angle. I don't want to stereotype areas but the stats show it's not good in drumchapel especially. simd.scot/#/simd2020/BTTTFTT/14/-4.3507/55.9134/

I walked from westerton station to the west of westerton at 5pm last winter and the wee paths and underpass and groups of youths hanging around and smoking weed did not feel particularly safe. Maybe it's perfectly safe but I don't have these concerns where I am now.
