Dear fellow parents, my daughter is in P7 in an Edinburgh state school. what are your opinions of us leaving a week before the xmas holidays on 16th December and returning on 10th January 21? this is an additional 2 weeks 3 days off school during the period a week before the xmas holidays and the first week back from the xmas holidays. The teacher confirmed there wouldn't be much to miss during this period but said would contact the Edinburgh Council about it and ask for their advice as it is over 2 weeks. Thoughts?
