What’s the area round Gordon Hill like?

Hey, I’m looking into the area round Gordon Hill, but there seems to be a number of estates and flat blocks round there towards Hillyfields park. What’s it like?

There are, and I would probably avoid the ex-council properties, especially the flats and maisonettes if you can afford to.
But the rest of the area is nice enough and there are some lovely and very sought-after roads very close to those blocks. Big houses on Phipps Hatch Lane and the bottom bit of Browning Road towards the Rose & Crown pub are particularly nice.
Having Hillyfields and all that green belt countryside on your doorstep would be wonderful in my opinion. Just look at school catchments carefully as it can be patchy, although there are some new schools (primary / secondary) opening at the Chase Farm site which will change the pattern of allocations from next year.
