John Ball School Admissions

Hello,

We are considering moving to Blackheath village and want to understand what the probability of getting an admission for my son into Reception 2021. The school looks large and has 90 places but seeing its over subscription we are not sure what are the odds of getting into it. Any advice? We do not follow any Church so am assuming that chances of getting into other schools in the area are pretty slim. Please help and provide your inputs!! Thanks!

It depends on where you live - I believe the catchment is measured from the front door of the school as the crow flies so even if you are the other side of the railway line you could still get a place. I know people on the other side of the heath who have got places, it very much depends on the year.
