Moving to Cowdray Avenue, Colchester

Hi All,

We are planning to move to Colchester very soon.
My husband is very adamant in buy this property on cowdray avenue near Range. I am bit worried about crowd and property is close to trainline but its close to supermarket and schools.
Is this area safe?

We have a 6 year old, so I have to look at good school as well. I am just having sleepless nights.
Please can anyone let me know about cowdray Avenue area.

Hi, I just found this, hope it still helps - Cowdray Ave is a very busy road, near the river and main line to London. Pros are that it’s near the Leisure Centre and a lovely walk into town through Castle Park.

Cowdray Avenue is a very busy road but very close to everything. You can get on to the beautiful highwoods country park near the range and also castle park and it is right near the town centre. I have walked through the area many times night and day and never felt unsafe.
