Looking to move to North Lanarkshire area

Hi everyone! So I currently live in a nice quiet town called dunoon, although it's lovely here there isn't many opportunities here for the kids/ myself. Looking to move to North Lanarkshire, have been looking at airdrie, Motherwell, Hamilton, East Kilbride areas but personally have no idea what these areas are like. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What I'm looking for is a nice, friendly area with decent schools and close enough to the shops/ short bus journey away from the shops. Places to go outdoors such as local nearby parks etc would be awesome too. I'll be looking to rent a 3 bed, max budget would be £600pm. Any advice on areas which are a definite yes, and any areas to definitely avoid.

Thank you!

Trying to respond with one hand. East Kilbride and Hamilton are actually in South Lanarkshire. South Lanarkshire is the better area of the two. I wouldn’t stay in Airdrie unless you work in Edinburgh and it’s for a shorter commute. What ages are your kids? Where would you be working(ie in which town/city) ? Happy to explain best areas of all the towns.

Ohh OK I didn't realise 😂 my kids are 3&7 and I'm currently unemployed (one of the reasons to move to a bigger area with more work opportunities) best areas of all towns would be greatly appreciated! 😊

Cool. I’ll get back to you later with some good areas. I’d definitely avoid Airdrie then.
