Secondary school choice Witchford

Hi does anyone in East Cambs have any insight into what schools kids in Witchford go to for secondary education? Witchford Village College isn't soo too well so we are wondering the chances of our daughter, who lives in a village in catchment, getting into Soham, Ely or another college. I know they had transition days this year for several schools, but it may just be a lottery.

Hi @itsawonderfullife79 just spotted this post. Most kids around here go to Ely, Soham or Witchford although there is a new secondary in Littleport too now. Soham and Ely are both very good schools (my older DC went to Soham), I don’t know much about the other two. Since Ely was taken over by CMAT I have heard very good things about it and my youngest is hoping to start there in a years time. That said Witchford is a smaller school and has a new Head I believe so if size is an issue it’s worth a look.

Would just add it used to be really hard to get into Soham but since Ely upper it’s game and Littleport opened too this has evened out a bit and I think it’s probably possible to take your pick but I’d be happy with either Soham or Ely right now.
