Relocating to Derby

Hi looking to see if anyone could give me any info on nice areas to stay in Derby. We are relocating from Scotland quite soon as my husband has taken a job at rolls Royce. I have a 2 year old and I am currently pregnant with our second baby. I would like to stay in a quiet estate that is a good safe area for children. Not too fussed on schools at this point but a good nursery would be a bonus. Any help would be great

Hi, Do you want to be close to Rolls Royce Aero or Rolls Royce Subs?
I’m not originally from Derby but have lived here for many years. I’d recommend Boulton Moor (Old and New), Chellaston,
Shardlow, Weston on Trent and Aston on Trent. There are plenty of nurseries around in Alvaston for Boulton Moor, Chellaston and Shardlow. (These are all within a few miles of both RR sites) Although I know from friends who work there some people commute many miles.
Theres a new primary school about to be built in Boulton Moor and a new one just been completed in Chellaston.
Shardlow, Aston and Weston all have their own primary schools.
Hope your move goes well, Good luck.

@BrunetteSmile1985 sorry to jump on your comment. I'm looking at a house in Boulton Moor. Particular about ethnic diversity, safety for families and good facilities. I'm a bit concerned that house prices there are relatively less expensive.Do you think it's a good place still?
