Tunbridge Wells for Sevenoaks Private Schools

We've found a place we love in TW but have a place at a private school in Sevenoaks. Do many people do Sevenoaks for schools and live in TW? The drive seems to be 20 minutes, which seems nothing in comparison to commutes in London but I worry about playdates or socialising if we are the only ones not living locally.

I can’t answer your schools question, but about the drive. It is twenty minutes on clear roads, at school run times it can be anything up to an hour but would probably on average be forty minutes door to door.

which side of Sevenoaks & which side of TW will have a big bearing on the drive time, don't forget there is (usually) a quick & regular train service between the two.

Thank you!

We would need to drive but the school and house are on the 'close' sides to each other. An hour sounds like a bit much every day. What villages would you recommend we also at near Sevenoaks?

There are plenty of small villages/hamlets between Tonbridge & Sevenoaks, a lot depends on what want you locally - if it's shops etc. then you are limited to the likes of Leigh (pronounced lie for some reason), Hildenborough, Sevenoaks Weald, Ide Hill, Seal etc.
North of Sevenoaks, take your pick. As you can imagine there's a line you quickly cross between being Kent and being London, regardless of any boundaries.
If you are coming from London, be prepared for far more school-run traffic, in vehicles better suited for farm-work.
