Me and DH are planning a move to Edinburgh. No kids as yet but planning for some (fingers crossed). We both lived in Edinburgh previously so know the city but no first hand experience of schools, although I've done some research.
As we're moving from London we have a budget of about 700K but definitely want detached after living in a small flat down here, which I realise narrows the search a lot. I like Cramond but every time I fly in I fly over it - is it really noisy?
Have found a house we quite like in catchment for Pentland Primary and Firrhill - anyone have any experience of these areas? What about Portobello?
Ideally we'd avoid private if possible although not ruling it out.
