Haringey meet up

The mumsnet local sites are pretty quiet. I was wondering if anyone who has posted here would be interested in a meet up some time next month. I could do weekdays or weekends depending on whether those interested are on maternity leave (like me), stay at home, part time or back at work/expecting and still working but wanting to meet other mums in anticipation, but it would need to be daytime.

right back at you

elkiedee · 21/11/2007 23:57

Yes, I really enjoyed our afternoon in the pub as well - can't believe we had so much space all to ourselves. Thanks for the compliment, but shouldn't that be all OUR babies are gorgeous? Yours too PPC! Hope we can organise another one in the New Year. If anyone who couldn't make it today is reading this, we'd love to meet you too.

It was lovely to meet all mums and babies yesterday. Hope we can do it again soon.

elkiedee · 12/01/2008 20:24

I thought I'd post here as I've only just spotted the thread, but there's a plan for a mini meet up at the Natural Cafe by the Clocktower in Crouch End, Monday 14 January at 2 pm.

I would love to meet up some time in the next few weeks (as in before I return to work on 3 March!) and thought the Maynard worked well as a meeting place. Would prefer a Wednesday or Thursday afternoon but would do other days if better for other people. Is anyone up for it?

Hi all, at the moment I'm planning on going to the meet up tomorrow. Would love to arrange another with you all. Wednesdays and Thursdays are generally good for me!

PrioryParkChick · 14/01/2008 15:57

Hi all - sorry to have missed the meet up today, I haven't been on for a while, hope it went well. I am up for another meet up too. Wednesdays and Thursdays usually fine for me. Hoping to see Lust, Caution this Thursday at the mother and baby showing at the Everyman cinema in Hampstead - if anyone fancies going it would be lovely to meet for a coffee before or after.
How are you all and your lovely babies?

elkiedee · 14/01/2008 18:30

I didn't make it today as I thought about going to Jolly Babies about halfway between home and Crouch End and carrying on from there, but decided to stay at JBs. How did it go?

PPC, hope you enjoy the film.

D's impatient to walk I think, keeps trying to stand at every opportunity. I keep telling him to act his age not his babygro size (he's a bit of a giant) but it's not working. I'm fine though a bit sad about losing my precious ipod and speakers, and a digital camera, in a burglary. Fortunately I only lost a few pics that weren't downloaded, I still have the phone which I used to take most of them.

Hope everyone else is well.

Shall we try for a meet up at the Maynard on Wednesday 30 January?

Hi all, I didn't make the meet up either yesterday but am definitely up for seeing you all again on the 30th.

Elkie, really sorry to hear about your break in. Did they take much?

elkiedee · 15/01/2008 23:44

Thanks, we didn't have a huge amount taken, could have been worse but gave us a big scare, particularly as I think it was a night time burglary while we were asleep, and grabbed stuff from the entrance to our bedroom as well as downstairs.

hiya everyone1 i am definately up for the 30th:0

PrioryParkChick · 19/01/2008 10:58

Hi - 30th sounds good to me. Look forward to seeing you then.

Kel - any luck with getting him to sleep in any longer stints at night yet?

Elkiedee - really sorry to hear about the break in - must have been really scary for you all.

kelmcd · 19/01/2008 12:15

Hi PPC - how are you? Thanks for asking about the sleeping! But unfortunately if anything its gotten worse, not sure whats going on but am sure we will get there!

elkiedee · 19/01/2008 16:43

Just posting to say hi and so this thread continues to show up on Threads I'm On etc, thanks for the sympathy.

If anyone's reading who's new or wasn't able to make it last time we met up, any mumsnetters who can make it on 30 January are very welcome. If you can't but would be interested in future meet ups or meet ups at different times then please post and introduce yourself too.

Hello there [shy]

Could I join as well?
I live in Crouch end and have 7.5 months old dd.

What time are you meeting on 30th?

PrioryParkChick · 24/01/2008 20:52

Hi AhhChewww, of course it would be lovely to meet you and your DD.

What time are we meeting? Any time after 12 is good for me.

Kelmcd - sorry to hear he is not sleeping any better. All good with us - enjoying getting out as much as possible, although that means I keep getting soaked at the moment

Looking forward to hearing all your news next week - hope you all have a fab weekend!

elkiedee · 25/01/2008 20:24

Hi AahChewww and everyone, I hope you will be able to make it along - my baby's just a few weeks older than yours. I know someone else from Mumsnet with a daughter born in June in Crouch End, but I think she's gone back to work 4 days a week, I'll have to try and introduce the two of you online at some point!

I think I can make it there for 1.30 pm on Wednesday, certainly by 2 pm. If everyone wants to meet earlier then do say so. I hope to take D to Splash! - free parent and baby swimming at our local pool in Tottenham Green on Wednesday morning, go home to drop things off and come out again, but we don't have to go and if I don't make it for the first session at 10.30 we'll miss it for next week - he still has his "lesson" in Stoke Newington on Friday.
