Can any Richmond MNers suggest somewhere for dc aged 2.6 and 3.6?

I am arranging to meet up with a friend on a Monday (morning/early afternoon) soon, and Richmond is half way between us. But neither of us knows the area and so we're a bit stumped for somewhere to go.

Can anyone recommend somewhere we could meet - a soft play place (or similar), a park, other child-friendly attraction, or a café, etc. Our dc are both boys.

Thanks.

Took my DC 5,4 & 3 and 2yo cousin to the London Wetlands Centre in Barnes last week and was pleasantly surprised. Lots of ducks to look at, fabulous playground and good cafe.

Kew gardens is good - they have climbers & Creepers - quite expensive for an adult £9? But free for kids. Cafes quite good too.

Can i suggest starting a thread on the main board (Chat or Days Out maybe?), as there are lots of mwest london mumsnetters, but they may not be signed up to the Local board.

Syon Park has a soft play thingie - Snakes & Ladders. Or if the weather is good Richmond park has a good playground which is free (I'll see if I can fgind a link) and car parking is free there too.

Thanks, Chippy - I was just hoping it would be spotted in Active Convos - will add it to Days Out if I can't find anything suitable from the suggestions on this thread.

I'm not sure if it shows up in active convos, or only if you've signed up to the local site.
