Hi all, I'm wanting to move to the Chelmsford area so I phoned in to secondary schools in the area to see if they had spaces for my two children. Every 'good' school (I didn't ask grammar schools as I'm kids aren't really grammar school types) said they have no space and that my child would have to go on a waiting list. This being the case, does anyone know if they would have to take us at the closest school in our neighbourhood once we move there? I've heard that they may arrange for your children to go to the nearest school that has space but what if I don't want my kids to go to that particular school? Is there any way of getting into your school of choice? Thanks.
