I don't know if they're free or not, but I've been to functions in the Earl Spencer (a christening reception thing) - it's a really nice pub, great food, on Merton Road; and also at the County Arms, which is on Trinity Road, right opposite Wandsworth Common. They do good food too, have a lovely garden, an upstairs room, and the Common is really handy if little ones need to go and have a run around!
Have a great birthday party!

We ahd our little girls christening in the upstairs room of The Telegraph Pub in Putney. it is off teh beaten track and beautiul outside and in. The staff were magnificent. They couldn't do enough for us!

You're a bit late for the OP, Sweetie34, but a big thanks from me -- I've been thinking about venues for DD's naming ceremony and hadn't even thought of the Telegraph. We used to go there quite a bit when our friends lived at that end of Putney.

What were the food options like?
