New school for year 8

I'm looking for advice on moving my son from his current school. He is a smart and athletic boy in year 8 who seems to have got in with a bad crowd and is failing.

Can anyone recommend any good schools in the watford or surrounding areas where there is a big focus on sports?

do you want independent schools or state? have a look at parmiters (state) or john lyon (independent)

Thanks we are a one wage family so independent may not be possible. Parmiters isn't ideal for us as I'd like to get him out of area and his current school is very local to Parmiters. Any other ideas are most welcome though thanks again x
