Relocating from Los Angeles

Hi

My family and I are thinking about moving back to Scotland from California for various reasons - mostly family, education and work. It's an exciting but slightly overwhelming decision! I went to college in Glasgow in the 90s and have lived in London and Los Angeles for the past 20+ years. My husband and I will continue our work in the TV and film industries. We are looking to settle in a village with a strong sense of community pride that's easily commutable to Glasgow with a good local primary school (state or private is ok), a few shops and restaurants, activities for kids and at least one pub! Wink Kilmalcolm is on our radar so far. Where else is worth looking?

I would massively appreciate any thoughts and ideas. Thank you in advance!

Sorry I don't really know Kilmacolm but I would also look at Eaglesham or Bothwell. They're more on the south side of the city but easy enough to commute in.
