Hi all,
Apologies if there are already threads on this.
We have just been told that our council will be issuing a plan for our DC.
I am a little unclear on naming a desired school.
DC is Dyslexic, with some anxiety. Have recently heard of The Moat school in London. Does anyone have knowledge of this school?
It is independent and out of our borough so wondered how difficult it could be to get funding if we felt it was right? How long it takes/ whats involved etc.
Also, how to have the conversation, persuade/ convince a Yr 8 child that they may need to leave their current school.
I dont really know how to broach the subject feel like I'm walking on egg shells and dont want to get hopes up either way.
Thank you!

Or any other Dyslexic supportive Senior schools in London or South East?
Thanks

Are they unhappy at the current school?

Yes, high anxiety related to classwork and school generally, behind in learning, no self esteem. 3 years like this. Socially ok, with a wide circle of friends, have been advised to seek alternative school with smaller class sizes, slower pace etc, but just dont know how to broach the subject, or get dc on board, if we feel its best all round.
