Hi there, looking for advice please......
So we are looking to relocate from Bedfordshire to Cheshire with our 2 children aged 6 & 7 within the next 3 months. I’m from Knutsford so know the area but have lived away for 15 or so years, my family are still there so we want to be within a 15-20min drive but not to live in Knutsford itself, although if the right house came up we’d consider! We are looking for somewhere new and fresh for us to settle down. We are considering Goostrey, the Peovers, outskirts of Wilmslow, Prestbury, but have also looked at Lymm. Nice pubs, schools, activities and clubs for kids, community spirits, open spaces and walks for the dog! I don’t want to be in the mix of the WAG territory but know Prestbury is, but is it still like this? We currently live in a thriving lovely village and walk to school, pubs and everything basically, so are looking for a nice community spirit which I’m sure we will find in all of the above places. Does anybody please have any advice on schools in the areas mentioned? We don’t want to cross into the Northwich area or go suburban into Trafford towards Manchester, so basically looking for Cheshire East. I like the sound of Holmes Chapel High and also Fallibroome Academy but this is a bit further out towards Macclesfield. We could consider The Grange yet if the local High schools are excellent then that’s great. Kids are both quite sporty and we just want kind, happy and inspiring schools that they are likely to get into by Spring 2020 as long as we find a house!! Many thanks in advance ! Xxx

Obviously the main priority at the moment are the good primary schools but within the catchment of an excellent high! I know the Peovers, Goostrey and Holmes Chapel primary’s are excellent and will be visiting these at the start of January.

Fallibroome is very sought after.

A friend has had two children go through Holmes Chapel Comp, one very academic and one with Sen who needed support and she has been very happy with the school.
