Relocating to Glasgow

Hi all,

My family and I have been living down south for almost seven years, but with baby number two on the way I'd really like to move back to Scotland.
Most of our family/friends are in Glasgow so we'd like to be around there. Somewhere with a nice family feel and good schools for DD. Also needs to be within half an hour commute to the city centre for when I go back to the work. Any suggestions of nice areas to look at?

Why don't you post on Scotsnet. You'll get loads of replies and there have been other similar threads, to give you an idea of good areas

Lenzie or Kirkintilloch might suit you.

What's your price range?

I didn't know there was a scotsnet? Is that part of mumsnet?

Budget is pretty flexible, we're in London at the moment so we're paying a lot in rent etc. Hoping to get more for our money when we move xx

Giffnock is lovely. Excellent schools, loads of restaurants/bars/kids stuff going on and about 20mins train journey to city centre

OP. Scotsnet is a section on here, you'll find it under Other Stuff

Another vote for East Renfrewshire. All budget dependant mind.
