Looking for back up childminder in Edinburgh Fairmilehead area

I have a fab CM and her just as fab CM friend was our back up CM for CM1s holiday periods and other days when necessary. It was a great arrangement as my DS knew both CMs and was comfortable at both houses.

CM2 has now filled up her young mindee places so is no longer available for fill in. I'm just wondering if there are any local CMs who would be interested in occasional days.

My DS is 16mths and he is mainly very jolly little fellow who runs around a lot.

Hi Rookiemum. I realise it's ages since you posted this, but hopefully you'll read it at some point.

I have just moved into this area and am being reinspected on Monday by the Care Commission so should be ready for minding soon. I am hoping to do short term or occasional minding so might be able to help you out.

Thanks mawbroon, at the minute, things seem to have worked themselves out, but who knows whats going to happen in the future.

I will have a go at CAT at some stage although I haven't done it before as it is really handy to have that back up.

Hi there mawbroon, we have managed fine up to now but our back up who was still able to take DS when we were stuck has gone and got herself another job!

Are you still looking for occasional childminding? Our CM doesn't do alternate Fridays, and whilst my Mum is doing them for us, I feel its quite a big commitment for her so would prefer it if she had to do it less often.

I am not set up for CAT but would email you if you are comfortable putting in your email details, if not I will try to figure out CAT.
