Hello Mumsnetters
Am I allowed to tell people about our Pregnancy Pilates classes ? I haven't been on the site since the lovely local ones disappeared. It is a mimimum spend of £500 to advertise on mumsnet. Eek!
We are a small, teacher run, Pilates organisation. We've been teaching pregnancy Pilates in Edinburgh for 16 years and had a wonderful time seeing women through pregnancies and I know some of the resulting now-teenagers!
Our next seven-week block of classes starts Friday 13th September, 5.30-6.30pm at Central Studio, 14a Broughton Street Lane, EH1 3LY.
Why PIlates (rather than Pregnancy Yoga?) ? Pilates focuses more on balance between strength and flexibility. When you are pregnant, your connective tissue becomes softer and more flexible and some women can get pelvic pain. Pilates is fabulous at not over-stretching and managing this. It works of your core muscles safely, teaches you pelvic floor exercises and the breath in Pilates is in through the nose, out through the mouth which is great breath control for labour

Hope I am not breaking any rules posting this. Do tell me if I am. Not sure of ettiquette.
