My family and I are thinking of moving from within Manchester our to somewhere in Saddleworth area. We especially like Greenfield. We’re looking for a more rural lifestyle, cleaner air, more green space etc.
Can anyone tell me what it’s like there in terms of primary and secondary school places? Are the schools oversubscribed? Would we struggle to get a primary place mid key stage 2 for example?
Also is there much in terms of wrap around childcare and also childcare options for preschoolers. Where we live now there are all kinds of options.
Finally does anyone commute from the area to South Manchester? Is it doable or hideous?
