Hi everyone,

I've been so busy...work is hectic as only have 6 weeks to go before my leave starts so trying to fit everything in!

Glad your getting over your bugs Kirstymon..how's things with you Discoverlife?

I'm starting to get nervous about the birth now...I bought a couple of magazines which had some birth stories in that scared me!

Has anyone every attended any of the NCT anti-natal classes in Hereford or had any dealings with them? I'm feeling under prepared and they offer a few classes but they are very expensive and just wondered if anyone had any experience....
Might be a good way of meeting people..?

Anyway hope your all well, keep in touch

Cath xx

Hi everyone, I'm 30 and have a DS who will be three in April, and am also TTC #2 after 2 miscarriages.
I live in Bishops Frome, near Bromyard, so my official address is Worcs, but we come under Herefordshire for everything else.
I moved here a year and a half ago from London (which was a bit of a shock) but both my DH and I grew up here so it's nice to be back near family.
I've been using Mumsnet for years on and off, but have only just discovered that there is a local network.

Oh, and for those of you looking for decent places to eat, the Three Crowns in Ullingswick is good, as is the Scrumpy House attached to Westons Cider in Much Marcle. And the Stagg Inn at Titley has a Michelin Star, the first pub in the country to get one, dontchya know!

CathRed · 22/02/2008 14:50

Hi Katie!

thanks for the restaurant suggestions, good timing....our anniversary is coming up soon and I was wondering where we could go!

It is a shock moving here but i've definately settled down now. It must be nice to be near family, that's the one thing I miss though I get to see them a lot with my job.

I have to add this restaurant. It was marvelous, lovely decor and atmospere, beautiful food, I didn't want to eat some of it because it looked so good, resonable prices, attentive staff. So if you like Indian food try the Basmati on Kings Acre St. Swainshill Hereford. HR4 7QA
Recommended that you phone. 01981 590700

I've heard about this and was supposed to go last weekend but couldn't due to ill DS. It has a really good reputation and the original restaurant is in Ludlow. So many Herefordians trekked over there to eat that they decided to open one in Hereford. Great to find a good Indian in the country.

Hi everyone i'm 20 and i live in Kington with my 16 month ds. I have been on this site a handful of times since i was pregnant but everyone seemed to already know one another and nobody really chatted to me much :-) but i thought i would try again cos i'm sure there are lots of friendly people on here! My favourite restaurants in the area are Saracens head in symonds yat, the Hollybush which i think is whitney-on-wye- its a fairly scruffy looking pub but the food is amazing! It's very hard to find a good restaurant in the sticks! At the moment i'm looking for a part time nursery place for ds, any suggestions? Lots seem to only take 2+ years. xxx

Hi Everyone. I'm 36 and live in North Hereford with my hubby. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and very nervous having had a mc in June. I am new to mumsnet - it was recommended to me by my sister-in-law who gave birth last week. I can recommend the Bell Inn at Tillington for a lovely meal out in Herefordshire. We often go there for a treat.

Hi all.

Just to add yet another question.

Does anyone have an aupair?

MrsHD · 16/01/2009 15:57

Hi. We live near Presteigne (but on the English side). I've just had baby Max 17 days ago, my second child but the fourth at home as DH's two older children live with us too. Usual issues of endless feeding and not enough sleep, not adjusting as well as I'd hoped to having a newborn but looking forward to being 4 wks post c-sec and able to drive again and get back to some bits of my old life!

peachpud · 26/02/2010 13:44

HI there - I'm fairly new to mumsnet but just noticed the local page. I live just outside Hay-on-Wye and have three girls aged 3, 8 and 9. Am also a local born and bred!

ilovemygirls · 20/08/2010 16:42

Hi, I've been on MN for over 2 years now, but must admit had never peeked at the local pages until now! Blush

I am 38, married with a gorgeous 13 month old boy, we had a bit of a journey to get him, but well worth it.

Marie How are you settling in?
Ilovemygirls How is the sleeping?
