parking at Broomfield Hospital

If I arrive about 11am when the ward that my uncle is on opens, do you think I'll be okay re parking?
Or should I go to the park and ride?

I like the idea of the park and ride but it only leaves every 23 minutes and I'm coming from quite far away and won't be able to time my arrival that exactly.

Parking at Broomfield is so hit and miss. I would say generally at that time, parking can be a nightmare but I was at Broomfield 2 days ago at 10.00 am and got a space straight away. Can you get to Broomfield early, allowing waiting time for a space if necessary and if you do get one straight away, go to the cafe for a coffee until the ward opens? You have to pay for a minimum of 3 hours parking whatever you choose to do. The longest I have ever had to wait for a space has been about 40 mins but I’ve never not got one. I haven’t used the park and ride so can’t comment on that I’m afraid.

thanks very much summ3rs. I don't mind if I don't arrive on the ward at 11 on the dot. I think I'll aim for about 10/10:30 and keep my fingers crossed.

Is it nice coffee?

The cafe is quite nice. I had a coffee and scone there on my last visit. There is also a Costa at Broomfield too. You can grab a magazine from WH Smith’s or a cake from Mark’s. Not loads to do but enough to waste time if necessary. 😀
