Recommendations for nice villages around Aberdeen

Hi!

Looking for some recommendations for nice villages within a 30min commute of Aberdeen.

I have a 2 year old so looking for somewhere with some clubs/playgroup and a nice primary school!

We have been looking at Newtonhill/ Stonehaven/ Banchory but would love to hear any thoughts on other places?

Peterculter, Kingswells or Balmedie. All have playgroups, toddlers groups and very nice primary schools when the time comes. Well within the 30 min commute you ask for, especially now the bypass is open..
Personally prefer either Balmedie for the beach on your doorstep or Peterculter for a nice villagey feel.

Also Ellon if you are looking for somewhere a bit bigger. Ellon along with Banchory/Stonehaven are more small towns than villages really.
