Seagull noise driving me bonkers. HELP!

I recently moved to Southampton city centre and although I expected some noise from the gulls, I had NO IDEA of the 24/7 misery I would be living with. The squawking and shrieking is relentless and incredibly loud. I don't blame the gulls btw (if anything I blame humans for leaving so much waste food and litter strewn around).

I'm posting to see if anybody else here lives in the city centre and might know if the gulls eventually move on and migrate for a while; if they get quieter at some point (or leave for a few months)? I've heard July is the peak of feeding season with baby gulls being reared and am hoping that this means things can't get worse than they are now and that the nuisance may be confined to a few months rather than all year. But I've read elsewhere in other towns that the noise never really goes. Thanks so much for any knowledge or input!!

(PS. I don't need any advice on soundproofing or earplugs - I have all that in order already. I also don't need any lectures on it being my fault for moving to this location, as I had no choice in the matter).

Ha I live near there and love the sound of seagulls! It’s crows I can’t bear. Sorry to tell you I don’t think there’s a downtime for them. At least in the winter you’ll have your windows closed!

03.44 this morning they started! Then the magpies started stomping on the porch roof under my bedroom window. We haven't been able to do anything in the front garden as Mrs Blackbird has raised two broods of chicks and got tetchy if we went anywhere in our own front garden. And don't get me started on Jackdaws! I do sympathise re the seagulls but generally they don't bother me.
