Well yet again another 6 weeks off school, any mum like me knows the ups and downs of half terms, i thought that over a year ago they said that they would add more days onto the other half terms and therfore make this 6 week break shorter, maybe i am going mad, mind you i cant be any more than i am already, please let me know if any other mums heard this too,( not me being mad) hahaha, i have 4 kids, one is 19, she has a 16mth old son, and she had a baby girl on thursday 26th july,, so am a granny again at the grand old age of 39, well i have 3 other girls, one is 13 goin on 21, a 9 year old and a 3 year old, so the older two at home are now suffering being off, stuck at home all day with mum, or should i say me stuck with them moaning, argueing, haha, i cant be the only mum who knows what i am talking about, my oldest says to me, " so what are we doing today then"? i reply, washing, cooking, ironing, and , and and to which she replies, thats boring, lets go out,i say ok you give me the money to put in the petrol, buy the sweets that the kids want when i pull in there, you name it they have a answer, i often tell her i am not a butlins red coat entertainment employee, am sure thats what the kids think i am. well i could ramble for ever, so any ideas on how to keep me and the kids entertained please feel free to tell me,oh and please dont say bake cakes, i hate cakes, hahaha,

Oh and i forgot to mention that while the kids have six weeks off, surely they forget what they was learning before they broke up, how can a child remember all the work from 6 weeks ago, mind you im not much better, i just learn the new ways they teach them math etc, (not like in my day) and then i totally forget it, so when they return to school and come home, they expect me , yes me to remind them how it goes.. As if i havn't got enough things to remember . I am celebrating in sept though, my 3 and half yr old is starting nursery, she loves school, and im glad she loves school, haha, only joking, anyone reading this prob thinks i want the kids at school 24-7, but hey am only joking, i do enjoy my time with them, when they are gettin on together, being nice, talking sweetly, playing happily, even if it only happens one day a week ill be happy.. best bit is i get to have a lay in now, no more school runs, not sure whats worse , us mums gettin out of the routine of doing the run, so some of us tend to lounge about in our pjs, and you can guarantee that a visitor will come to ya front door and think oh my god, she aint even dressed yet, what a lazy mare hahaha, but hey to any guys out there or women who do have a job where they have to knock on doors for summit, "Give us mums some credit, we look after our kids all day long etc, 24-7and we deserve a 6 week break, even if we want to laze about in our houses with our hair a mess, house a tip, lots of washing up to do,Its our holiday too.........
