We (family of 4 including 2 toddlers) are moving from the badlands of east London (I'm joking of course) to Macclesfield for work. We will be renting a 2/3 bed house/flat close to the town centre (essentially within a 1/2 mile radius of the train station. My office is on Shaw street, west of the railway line. The intention is that we live within a 10-15 minute walk from my work.
From what I can see on Rightmove, it looks like a busy rental market with a decent variety of properties available.
Any tips on which areas to avoid in that radius - crime, burglaries, muggings, that kind of stuff?
