Hi, I'm considering a move back to the Scottish Borders, where I grew up. We are looking at Melrose specifically because of the ability to commute to Edinburgh.
However my kids are 11 and 7 (boys) and have lived abroad all there lives. I'm wondering how the local schools are? Would they be bullied for having an English accent? I know this was the way 30 years ago when I moved there as a child but hoping things have moved on since then.
Is Melrose primary and earlston high school generally oversubscribed? Do any kids commute to Edinburgh independent secondary schools?
