Christ's / Grey Court school

Can someone please give me some feedback on Christs and Grey Court? I have been to see Christs but Grey Court don’t seem to do open days which is exasperating. I loved Christs when I saw it, but the emphasis seems to be on sport – and clearly they excel at sport, but it’s not my DD’s strength at all so I’m worried she would get a bit lost in it all. And they don’t stream children – does anyone know if those that are academic are stretched? Sorry not meaning to sound like a pushy parent, am just finding it all rather tricky to fathom.

I have taught in both. If you can get into Grey Court go for there but is a small catchment area.

Any feedback on Kingston Academy, please? I could not decide which to go with, grey court or Kingston academy.

I much preferred Christ's after touring both. School is smaller which suits DS as well. They also had a large cohort of CS GCSEs that all got top marks, which was a sign to me it caters to the more academic/techy kid as well (again suits my DS). All the schools emphasize sport, the entire country is obsessed with sports, I don't know how you can avoid that. I didn't get a great feel from Grey's Court to be honest during our day tour. Although I know lots of people like it.

Grey Court had an open evening last week (sorry I didn't see your post before) and they have a number of open mornings this month which would give you the opportunity to see the school. My DD attends in Y8 so happy to answer any questions you have about the school.

Afraid I have only just seen your post. My DD is in Y8 at Grey Court and so she was showing people around the school at the open evening. I obviously didn't attend. If you have any questions about Grey Court then I am happy to reply. I don't know Kingston Academy at all.

Hi @asaladforautumn, by chance I read this post in which I have a similar question. I am considering between kingston academy or grey court for my boy who loves science, engineering and tech like robot but not too fond of sports. I am looking if Grey court is a suitable option for him. Appreciated if you can share any of your experience xx
