Moving to Haslemere - looking for recommendations/views/groups

Hello

We have just had an offer accepted on a house and will be moving from Wimbledon to Haslemere with our 7-year-old daughter later this summer.

Any thoughts on junior schools - St Barts or Shottermill? Our daughter is currently at a CofE primary where we are but will happily consider a non-church school too.

Are there any useful groups on Facebook for local mums/parents I should join to find out what's what? I am part of 'SW19 Mums' where we live now and it is really useful so was hoping to find something similar but can't find anything obvious as yet.

Can you recommend any fitness classes (boot camp for my husband, more pilates/yoga type for me) and what do kids locally do for activities in art, sport, music etc?

I am sure a lot of pennies will begin to drop once we are in place but it's been a long time since we moved without knowing anyone so the list of questions is currently long!

Grateful for any recommendations from mums in the area :-)

Thanks in advance,

Viveka

Hi, I'm guessing you are here now. We moved here from Wimbledon Park in 2016 without knowing a soul. Our son is 7 (went to Wimbledon Park Montessori for nursery) and now goes to Shottermill Juniors. We go to gymnastics and swimming locally.

Haslemere / Guildford/Farnham school thoughts / recommendations please!
We are moving from Wimbledon and considering the above areas - subject to schooling. Pref is Co - Ed - private and state . We have 2 , looking for Year 3 and 5. Does anyone have any views / thoughts? Feeling confused as seem to be so many to work out the diffs and help make a decision!

Hi, not sure how to start a new thread so hope it’s ok to post on this one.

We are moving to Haslemere in September and am looking at schools for my children y3 and Y5. Without being able to visit the schools I’d love some thoughts on Shottermill and St. Barts please.

Our kids are average academically, and talented with sport and drama/music so would love a school that’s strong in these areas.

Our current school has a great parent social vibe and as we are moving to an area without knowing anyone would be great to join a school which had good social for parents too!

Any thoughts greatly appreciated :)
